Unfortunately, viruses don’t follow the calendar and stop coming around on March 20th! In early April, my kids were hit HARD with a fever/cold virus. Des always gets viruses a bit worse than Scarlet. She had a one day lead on him, but she was back to school by the Friday before spring break. Luckily. Des needed an extra day in bed and on the couch, with popsicles, water, and lots of cuddling. I’ve felt protected for years now, since I take E.N.T. Probiotics, and this virus incident made me decide to support my kids’ immune systems and overall health with Lifestix E.N.T. Care. We love it for many reasons.
Now that it’s spring, we have new obstacles. Our beautiful garden is starting to bloom, and pollen is flying everywhere! Millions of Americans suffer from seasonal allergies, and sadly, we are no exception. Lifestix E.N.T. Care is a new immune probiotic that is specific to the oral cavity – helping to support ear, nose and threat health. This makes me think of ways we can support our family’s immune health right now, and into the year. Now that I have two kids in school, and also outside around allergens, it’s more important than ever. Here are 5 ways to support your family’s health this spring, and beyond.
1 – E.N.T. Care, of course. After all, it takes care of your oral microbiome for better immunity. E.N.T. Care populates your oral cavity with good bacteria, and helps your body fight bad bugs and triggers that get you down and out. It has a delicious strawberry flavor – and trust me, I tried it myself! I had to get my kids excited to take their probiotic every day.
This is a probiotic different from any you’ve heard of, I bet! While many probiotics are gut probiotics, this is an oral microbiome, related to ear, nose and throat. It’s the first immune defense. Since your mouth is your body’s entry point for nutrition, and for both good and bad bacteria, E.N.T. Care helps balance the beneficial bacteria in the mouth. This also supports immune response by populating the ears, nose and throat with good bacteria.*
2 – Give a boost with those fruits and vegetables! This is totally the time of year. I don’t know about your kids, but mine are much more likely to eat the fruits and vegetables that come from our own garden and/or the local farmers market. Try to have everyone eat 4-5 servings a day, with the knowledge that serving sizes vary by age.
3 – Give your family a sleep boost. It’s the oldest trick in the book (along with drinking water), and yet many of us don’t heed the warnings. Sleep deprivation can make you more susceptible to illness, several studies say.
4 – Exercise as a family. Make it a regular habit. We got into the habit of bike riding together in the school parking lot, since it’s a local flat space to start out. Scarlet regularly runs 5K’s so she likes to
drag inspire us to join!
5 – Prevent the spreading of germs. Immune systems go through a lot, and the more stress you can prevent, the better. Have your kids wash their hands with soap before and after meals, after being outside, after playing with pets and other animals, after blowing their noses, after using the bathroom, and after returning home from school – or other crowded places.
