Many new moms struggle to feel sexy after having a baby. If you have recently welcomed a child into the world, you may feel your body has changed following pregnancy. Also, you might feel tired, frumpy, and less like your old self.
Unfortunately, your self-perception can affect your confidence, mood, and relationship with your spouse, which is why you must look for ways to feel proud of your body. If you’re ready to become the best version of yourself, here are five ways to feel sexier after having a baby.
1. Wear Black
Black is a great clothing color for new moms, as it is naturally slimming and less likely to show various stains and spills from feeding or caring for your little one. The color will also make you appear edgy, sleek, and sophisticated, which may make you feel more stylish and attractive when taking your baby for a stroll, shopping, or returning to work.
2. Treat Yourself to a Makeover
If you no longer recognize yourself in the mirror, treat yourself to a new hairstyle to feel happier in your skin and more in control of your appearance. A fresh cut and color might make you feel like your pre-pregnancy self, or you could request a whole new look to boost your confidence. For example, you could go from brown to blonde, run some red through your hair, or request a short bob.
3. Buy Sexy Underwear
Boring underwear in frumpy designs will make you feel less than sexy. Give your self-esteem a much-needed boost by purchasing more seductive lingerie. Wearing plus size lingerie will make any shapely woman look and feel beautiful from head to toe. Different designs are available to make you feel sexier underneath your clothing and will get your other half’s heart pounding.
4. Get Moving
As parenting can demand much of your time, you might have little or no desire to exercise while your baby naps or during their bedtime. Yet, physical activity could transform your confidence. You’ll not only shed excess weight and tone your body, but you’ll feel stronger, healthier, and happier. As a result, you’re more likely to feel proud of your body, so you’ll feel more attractive and sexier.
If you don’t have the time or confidence to hit the gym, you could:
- Use home workout equipment, such as a treadmill or exercise bike
- Enjoy brisk walking in a local green space
- Try an at-home workout program, such as Insanity or PIIT28
- Start gardening
- Attend a fitness class with a friend, such as yoga, dance, or boxing
5. Dress Up for a Date Night
A date night will make you feel happier and more attractive for various reasons. If you haven’t taken a break from caring for your newborn, schedule a date night with your other half as soon as possible.
The break away from your baby will make you feel more like your old self and not just a parent. Also, it will allow you to focus 100% of your attention on your other half instead of nappy changes, feeds, and naps. It will provide an opportunity to replace those loose t-shirts and sweatpants for a dress or a nice top with jeans, which will make you feel much sexier.
