Thank you Facebook Marketplace for sponsoring this post. There’s something for everyone!
The holidays. Ah. Take a deep breath with me here. In our house, they are the zaniest, most hectic and messy time of year and I really wouldn’t have it any other way. I look at our 18-foot tree and think of how many gifts I still have to buy, and all I can do is smile. That’s our way! We signed up for this, or rather, life handed us some twists and turns. Family is everything.
And I’m so happy that I’ll be spending Christmas with 21 loved ones! That’s right. We really have a special day together and I love watching all nine grandkids play and bond. My kids are the only cousins to live out-of-state, but there’s no love like cousin love. It’s become super important to me to find unique, one-of-a-kind gifts for everyone in my large, blended family and I’m excited to have found Facebook Marketplace. It’s an easy, convenient way to discover, buy, and sell items. In fact, you probably see it every day!
I’ve discovered how easy it is to make Facebook Marketplace your one-stop-shop to get holiday shopping done, and also how convenient it is. It’s literally a place I spend a lot of my virtual time because Facebook is kind of everything! You can save money by finding unique gifts in your local area. Not only that, you can also earn extra income and find great deals directly without having to leave Facebook. Buying and selling there is easy and convenient. And bonus – I got to meet some local sellers/artists that had much in common with me.
For some other benefits, you don’t have to download yet another app, or set up a new account on Facebook! And you can easily check out a person’s public Facebook profile before deciding to buy or sell from them. Sometimes it really helps to buy or sell locally, because the chances are high that you have mutual friends in common with your buyer or seller on Facebook Marketplace. And you get to feel good about the transaction. It’s awesome that you can easily communicate over Messenger, and save your searches so that you get alerted when things on your list pop up for sale nearby. That really helped me in looking for local handmade decor, as well as kids’ holiday stuff. I love that you can choose from categories or specific items, and choose how many miles away from you to find the best items. I found a handmade item for Cassidy!
I also found building toys and advent calendars for the kids! So cool how easy and fun it is to buy and sell on Facebook Marketplace. It could be a new DIY project, a gift idea for your spouse, or something for your pet. You could also sell something of yours that would be a real treasure for someone else! It’s great for gifting year-round – for birthdays, thank you gifts, anniversaries, etc. And as for selling, what an awesome way to make extra income for the new year! Side hustle time!
We celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, and New Year’s quite in style, coming together with family and friends. It’s one of our favorite ways to spread joy during the festive season. We have been in full holiday mode for a month now, and it’s been a season of kindness and community. So far, it’s been a completely wonderful holiday season for my kids. We’ve been expanding our horizons with gift giving, and I’ve found wonderful gifting in Facebook Marketplace. I think you will too!
