Extra Extra, read all about it here. My Extra Extra Creamy Frozen Pineapple and Banana Smoothies are where it’s at!

This is a sponsored post. All opinions are my own.

I knew I was onto a good thing because I made up a blender full of these and every member of my family wanted one. That really doesn’t happen often. Personally, I’m a dairy-loving smoothie girl. Des loves bananas. Cassidy and Scarlet love pineapples and cold and refreshing drinks. I will tell you that these smoothies have a secret ingredient, though. I’m pretty sure the best recipes have secret ingredients. It’s really not-so-secret, though, because I’m going to tell you all about it! It’s Dunkin’ Donuts Extra Extra Creamer, which is wonderful in recipes! And you can use a variety of flavors in smoothies.

Dunkin’ Extra Extra creamer has real cream and real sugar, and helps kick any recipe up a notch. For me, it was all about that smooth creaminess. Whether it’s camp or class parties, picnics, family gatherings, girls’ nights out, or breakfast, this creamer is here to help make your recipes delicious. For us, mornings are a little rough. Sometimes more than a little. So I like to make my recipes more.. extra. More something. I basically need something that’s going to help me manage 13 animals, two kids, two careers, and a whole lot of chaotic mornings. That said, we have fun too. It’s fun chaos.

Organized chaos? Chaos with creamy smoothies?

Dunkin’ Extra Extra Creamy Frozen Pineapple and Banana Smoothies:

What You Need:

2 ripe bananas, sliced and frozen for a bit
3-4 cups frozen pineapple chunks
3/4 cup of milk of any kind
3/4 cup Dunkin’ Extra Extra creamer
1-2 teaspoons vanilla extract

What You Do:

1 – Place all ingredients in your blender and make sure they’re broken up and not clustered together
2 – Run the blender until the smoothie is smooth – might take a few minutes
3 – If it’s too thin, add more pineapple and if it’s too thick, add more milk and creamer
4 – Serve and enjoy! This made four servings

Basically if I can elevate an already incredible recipe, that’s like elevation squared. And I’m in.

It’s so refreshing for or with breakfast, and it also makes a wonderful evening snack. And if you’re in the mood for a little get together, it’s so easy to make up to 4-6 smoothies in one sitting. A little goes a long way, and it’s so delicious. Also, Dunkin’ Donuts Extra Extra creamer also comes in Vanilla Extra Extra and Caramel Extra Extra. Both would work here too!

Peanut Butter and Jelly Berry Fig Bar Sandwiches

This post is sponsored by Nature’s Bakery but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.

These peanut butter and jelly berry fig bar sandwiches are made with delicious, soft-baked #NaturesBakery fig bars! Great #backtoschool treat for your kids!

I don’t know about you, but I’m perpetually seeking out good back to school snack and meal ideas.

I am quite bad at adapting naturally to the transition. Summer is for sleeping in, as much as Des lets us, anyway. It’s for spontaneous road trips, trailside ice cream, and juicy berry picking. It’s too bad there’s not an easier way to go from that to the days of 9:00am soccer practice, Back to School nights, colds and other viruses, and regular homework time. With one going to 4th grade and one to 1st grade, I can’t relax into autopilot quite yet. Scarlet is really good at making her own lunches and managing her own schedules, but Des is only a full year into elementary school. I’m still learning my way.

And that’s where Nature’s Bakery comes in.

They began with a simple idea – to make healthy snacks accessible to all – and that’s why joy and optimism are baked into each and every delicious and nutritious bite, made with real fruit and satisfying grains. These fig bars are the perfect on-the-go whole snack – fit for the whole family. Obviously, you know I think about snacks that I can enjoy too! Of course.

Their bars are wholesome, made with real fruit and whole grains, soft-baked, sweet (but not too sweet), satisfying, Non GMO-Project Certified, certified vegan, dairy free, soy free, nut free, and made with no high fructose corn syrup.

Also, they’re awesome. Being a parent is a full-time job and a juggling act. That’s why I prioritize my children’s nutrition with these snacks. And I love anything making our back to school routine a bit, or a lot, easier. These are awesome for breakfast, lunch, snack time, and beyond. Nature’s Bakery Fig Bars are made with the inherent goodness of real, natural and recognizable ingredients. And not only are they healthy, but they’re delicious too. I love to use these wholesome snacks to make fun after school recipes for my kids. That’s why I make these Peanut Butter and Jelly Berry Fig Bar Sandwiches:

And that’s it! There are so many instances in which these bars come in handy – when you’re on-the-go, headed to work, at a game, during a busy morning, etc. And my favorite time of day – after school time when it’s special snack time!
