Thin Mint Shooters Rock My World

I promised you a celebration, and a celebration is going to happen.

Whether it's #StPatricksDay or not, these Thin Mint Shooters are sure to be a hit at any party! They are so delicious and easy to make. WOW guests. #recipe

And you may be thinking, “Well I came here, because I was told there’d be cake?” because that’s exactly how my mom operates. If she goes to a birthday party and they run out of cake, or serve it too early or too late, she remembers. She’s shrewd like that. I don’t have cake for you, but I have something I believe is even better – GIRL SCOUT COOKIES – and served in a brand new delicious way, no less! SHOOTERS! So get out your Girl Scout cookies, or order them if there’s still time.

Personally, I’ve been stockpiling Tagalongs, but they’re not part of this recipe.

For the rest of this week, you will be visited by three Christmas St. Patrick’s Day/Beauty and the Beast ghosts. I like to tell people what to look forward to – because I hate surprises – so this is post #1. Tonight, post #2 will be a Beauty and the Beast recipe. Remember my Chip the Teapcup Treats? You can expect more of that! Then, tomorrow morning (or afternoon or evening, if I can’t get my act together) I’ll post Part 1 of our Magic Kingdom visit! Three fun posts to end your week.

Thin Mint Shooters

I’m ready for this week to end. We had a snow day, and then one of those magical mornings in which Des had a one hour delay, Scarlet had a two hour delay, and our town didn’t do a good job at plowing our roads. As usual, I’m overworked, underfed, and excited for my Thursday afternoon with Des. You could make this a virgin drink, and we all know I only drink virgin drinks, but I’ll let you make that call! Celebrations are celebrations, aren’t they? You choose your own adventure.

  1. We don’t drink so making these shooters would have to be without the alcohol. I do like the way you decorated the rim of the jars and like the jelly jars you used for glasses. Thin mints are always a hit and they freeze well so they don’t all disappear at one time. We are waiting patiently for Beauty and the Beast and look forward to seeing this version of the movie.

  2. OK, so I need to share a story with you. On my honeymoon in the Bahamas they made a mixed drink called the Dirty Girl Scout, which was essentially based after the Thin Mint cookie. I have tried for years to replicate this drink and have yet to master it. So, when I saw this I immediately thought of that. And now the challenge is on to make this one and see if I can finally put that past drink to rest to find a new Thin Mint drink favorite. Thank you!!! 🙂

  3. These shooters look amazing. Chocolate and mint go really well together and more over you could also make them without the alcohol, so this could be the perfect drink for kids as well. Thanks for sharing the incredible intoxicating recipe.

  4. My Mother gave me 2 boxes of my favorite Girl Scout cookiesm and as much as I love my Mother, she has secretly sabotaged my summer body. 😉 I love the idea of Thin Mint Shooter, any recipe that requires me to coat the rim of a glass makes my heart smile. I’m making these on Friday, St Paddy’s Day 🙂

  5. These look tasty, especially since I am a big fan of Thin Mints. They are my go-to variety of Girl Scout cookies. I would definitely like them in other desserts and beverages.

  6. I don’t drink alcohol but these look so good that I want to! Haha! Anything with thin mints… My husband would love this too!

  7. Goodness gracious, those look delicious! I don’t drink much anymore, but I would make an exception for those! They’re the perfect after-dinner dessert drink. Thin Mints are pretty much the best cookie ever. I could eat a whole box in a day (I try not to, of course, lol)!

  8. Hoo-rah! Not drinking takes a whole lot of celebration out of St. Patrick’s Day I think 🙂 Still you rock and I am coming to one of your parties some day!

  9. I’m like the first commenter, my shooters would be non alcoholic but I have some mommy friends that would love this just the way it is!

  10. I saw some Thin Mint gum at Target the other day and I was so tempted to buy some, but I didn’t. Some how I managed not to see any Girl Scouts selling cookies anywhere. So I didn’t have to fight the temptation of buying any cookies. Your shooters look like they would taste great.
