Gorgeous Orange Slush Drink For Easter Brunch

Think about your perfect Easter brunch.

I have the biggest weakness EVER for this time of year, and it rivals even the pumpkin coffee, velvety flannel shirts, wood-burning, leaf pile-jumping bliss of a New England autumn. Spring? That’s what we wait all year to enjoy. It’s rainbow marshmallows, chocolate rabbits, white linen, baby bonnets, spring dresses, and more. My mom has historically made it special, with her antique bunnies, her love for marshmallow chickens, and her farmhouse kitchen table – often inhabiting 10-20 party guests. The pastel linens come out, the brunch casseroles are served, and there’s a gorgeous pitcher full of brunchy beverage goodness. It’s like a cold, drinkable orange creamsicle with just a little party fizz. You will LOVE it for brunch.

When I think about March, April, and even May, my mouth waters for chocolate eggs, baked hams, and my orange slush drink. It’s festive, zesty, sweet, refreshing, and perfectly pretty for your Easter brunch spread as well. You can also serve it for any Easter meal – you don’t have to limit it for brunch. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and all the in-betweens count too. I think my mom even served it with Easter dessert once! That was actually really special. Enjoy this versatile drink all spring.

And I’d be remiss if I didn’t confess that we have it for Christmas too. See what I mean about versatile!

It’s delicious! Fizzy and festive. Coca-Cola beverages and Sam’s Club help to make the perfect Easter meal. You can shop at Sam’s Club for all drink ingredients. Some of our favorites are Simply Orange®, Simply Lemonade®, smartwater®, vitaminwater®, Gold Peak® Tea and Sprite®. For a non-fizzy drink, you can skip the Sprite®, and make sure your Simply Orange® takes center stage. Either way is delicious! It’s not too soon to think about your perfect Easter meal.

Sam’s Club is my place to go for holiday shopping. I take Des with me and usually go on a weeknight. When I know I need Coca-Cola products in bulk, for serving many party guests, there’s just nowhere else to go for that great value and selection. You can also make a nice beverage bar with all of their products, in addition to making a few pitchers of this orange and yummy goodness. That way you’re covering all your guests’ beverage needs – from children to adults.

Everyone, what do I love more than Christmas morning presents with my family? Christmas brunch! Oh. Yes.

At my parent’s farm, ever since the eight (nearly nine) grandkids came along, it takes us so long to open presents – because we do it one by one – that we’ve started having to take a much-needed brunch break in between. And the kids allow that! The adults do too! I’m not a patient person, and call me crazy, but it’s all about my parent’s brunch spread! They prep the food the night before and then just pop the main courses in the oven when brunch time is near. There’s hot carafes of coffee, my dad’s oven-cooked bacon, and a giant box of doughnuts that my brother always brings. And if he didn’t? I think Des the Doughnut King would be quite upset. There’s always sausage and fruit as well. We make drinks that morning.

My eye is always on the prize, though. The punch.

This is something we start with in the morning, but then make a new batch or put it out again in the afternoon – when we’re finally out of our Christmas pajamas – and neighbors are coming over to have some punch and snacks. Then it’s punch and mixed nuts! The perfect combo. I get everything I need at our local Sam’s Club. Among the ingredients for this spread are Member’s Mark Mixed Nuts, and then the stars of the show – a Simply Orange® 2 pack and Simply Lemonade® 2 pack as well.

Look for them in the juice aisle.

My brunch mocktail is simply the best. I’m all about having convenient beverage and snacking solutions for our huge holiday gathering on December 25th. It seems to get larger every year, and I don’t see it stopping anytime soon. I actually love going to Sam’s Club on a weekday. There, I can get everything I need for my family and for extended family too. Simply Beverages® are deliciously simple. You can find their great-tasting 100% juice drinks in the refrigerated section of your Sam’s Club. I love that they come in 2-packs, because that’s perfect for entertaining. My recipe uses convenient ingredients.

And my dad always says that it’s not a party until there are mixed nuts!

Special notes:

This can be easily doubled or tripled. Just make sure you know the size of your container/pitcher/punch bowl before you start mixing. I always like to refrigerate my items before making the punch so they are cold, and you don’t have to add ice. Simply Beverages® are found in the refrigerated aisle so they are already cold, but you may want to put the other items in the fridge too – like pineapple juice, Sprite, and even the sliced oranges.

Then you can gather around the table and enjoy this punch! Or put it out on a snack table (a card table – per my parents) and watch people get absolutely delighted over the delicious punch and the mixed nuts. Throw in some cookies for extra fun!
