I am a snacker times a million. It’s in my nature and it’s how I operate best. During my hungriest days – a major growth spurt in high school – I had to snack every couple of hours. During my busy days now, it’s honestly about the same. Especially with work and travel, we have to rely on GOOD snacks! Now you’re probably wondering about me giving you snack tips, right?
Right. I’m a professional snacker! I have credentials! Not really, but what I am is a busy and fairly fit working mother of two, who needs to eat a LOT of snacks. When I worked in an office job, many moons ago, the vending machine options were deplorable. I didn’t yet care because I was younger and fairly convinced of my own invincibility, but something about turning 30 or turning into a parent changed that for me. It’s all about various flavors and better options during my snack breaks.
You probably already know this, but if not, allow me to introduce myself. I have two kids – five and eight – and I’m both a photographer and an influencer. There are one or two other jobs there too. To say I work hard is putting it lightly. I think a lot about snacking moments lately, because in my career(s), this is a hectic time of year. I need great snack options.
I think there’s some sort of law of life, in which you always rummage through the fridge, drawers, and cabinets of your parent’s kitchen within five minutes of arriving on their doorstep. Even if you have just eaten before you arrive!
Am I right about that, or am I right? No matter what time of day it is, or how hungry I am, I still have to at least look. And I hope upon hope that my kids will do the same when they visit me one day as adults. I hope my children’s children will rummage through my snacks! I do it at my in-laws’ houses too. One set has the most exquisite apples you’ll ever taste. The other set will always have ice cream in the freezer, even in the beach house. My parents have perhaps the widest range of snacks, but one thing I can always count on is plenty of Weight Watchers cheese snacks. For as long as I can remember.

Slice up your string cheese into fairly thin chunks. Put one on your toothpick, and then add an olive, some cut turkey or chicken, and another piece of string cheese. Sometimes I add pepperoni too. What a delicious and EASY snack to make!
