Now that the kids are back at school, how do you focus your day around YOU? Here are 5 things I do with my alone time and you can too #ad #NatureMadeGummies

One of the things that was most challenging to me this summer was getting everyday things done.

And I don’t mean for the kids. For them, I was razor-organized with camp schedules, birthdays, birthday parties, summer checkups, dental appointments, and weekends away from home. It was building my own life that suffered. Last year, Scarlet was in second grade and had three after school programs. And with having the option to enroll Des in full day preschool until 3:30, I couldn’t believe what I accomplished every day! It goes to show you that when I get time to myself after years of baby and toddler days, I can do more than I ever imagined. And I’m here to tell you what it’s like now with two in school.

I can tell you that Nature Made® Adult Gummies are my jam right now, and you’ll see why below!

Here are 5 things I do now that the kids are in school, and you can/should too!

1 – Every day, I focus on my wellness routine. Boy, that really slipped by the wayside this summer. While I was used to regular running/walking/hiking at the dog park, it wasn’t just the kids being home that stopped my consistency. It was the heat and humidity! Not to mention, I love to eat ice cream daily in the summer and I’m sure I wasn’t drinking enough water. Fall is a GREAT time to turn the page and hit the reset button. I use Nature Made® Adult Gummies to start me on track.

I love checking out the variety in the vitamin aisle of Walmart:

This is truly “A gummy you can trust.” Nature Made® gives you the assurance that you’re getting the nutrients you seek from your gummies, and they are all tested for purity and potency. While there are many varieties, I most like to focus on areas I’d love to improve. Taking daily vitamins helps jumpstart my wellness routine every morning, and is also the last part of my day as well, with Nature Made® Melatonin Adult Gummies. They are a great-tasting, easy way to help support sleep† and help your body reset its sleep/waking cycle.† They provide 2.5 mg of melatonin.

I also take Nature Made® Biotin Adult Gummies – another great-tasting, easy way to consume biotin which may help support healthy hair, skin, and nails in those who are biotin deficient.† The gummies provide 3000 mcg of biotin, and are USP Verified for potency, purity and quality. Nature Made® has the first gummies certified by USP for purity and potency.

*Biotin may help support healthy hair, skin and nails in those that are biotin deficient.†

Another favorite is Nature Made® Vitamin D Adult Gummies. Vitamin D3 Adult Gummies is the #1 Pharmacist Recommended Letter Vitamin Brand based on US News & World Report – Pharmacy Times Survey of pharmacist recommending in this category. These gummies contain 2000 IU of vitamin D3 per serving, and D3 is the body’s preferred form of vitamin D.* *Vitamin D3 is more effective than vitamin D2 at raising and maintaining adequate levels of circulating vitamin D in the body.† It helps support bone, teeth, muscle and immune health†. And it helps improve calcium absorption†.

Vitamin D3 Adult Gummies is USP Verified for potency, purity and quality.

So as you see, that’s how I start my days and end my days. Getting on track with food, nutrition, exercise, water, and sleep are the most important tasks on my to do list, and I love finding products that help me achieve my goals.

2 – I focus on my work routine. Embarrassingly enough, there’s a marked lack of routine in the summer. This would be fine if I took it easy, or if my industries took it easy (well, photography does) but in fact, I generally go full speed ahead. I tried to work only in the early mornings or late nights, so I could have long and lazy summer days, but often there was terrible overlap. I adore my time now to figure out my new work schedule, and how to best tweak it and learn from it.

3 – I schedule appointments, meetings, tuneups, haircuts, and even shopping! Yes, I schedule errands.

4 – I work on my downtime the best ways I know how – whether that’s a coffee shop, a library, a bath, a personal photo shoot.

5 – I work on finding my own mojo. I read an article about productivity and input vs. output. I love to do a solid stride of three hours of work in the mid-morning until lunchtime. This is a unique opportunity to find your own hits and misses.

Looking to change up your weekday routines? I’d love to hear what you do every day during the school year.

5 Things I Do When the Kids Are at School, And You Can Too — 8 Comments

  1. Great advice and I add to this list make phone calls as last night I made the foolish mistake to make a call when the kids and my husband were home. Let’s just say never again as the person on the other line even got a blow by blow of my kids discussing needing to use the bathroom! So all phone calls will now take place when my darlings are at school!! 🙂

  2. Wow 3 after school programs sounds like a handful and that’s was only for Scarlet?? Wow, sounds super overwhelming. I can’t believe you accomplished that everyday. I think you’re super Mom. I need some of these Nature Made Adult Gummies, since I don’t eat meat I know I’m lacking in certain important vitamins and minerals. I’m going to check out these Gummies asap!

  3. I love gummies! My mom bought gummie vitamins for Reiko once and he didn’t like it, so I ended up consuming it. I so need all of the above you mentioned. My work routine needs a facelift. My wellness life needs to be attended as well. It’s the rainy season in our country so lazy days are getting the best of me.
