I know we still have three days, but that will give you time to get these ingredients and make some Sprinkle Dipped Fortune Cookies for New Year’s Eve and Day! I, for one, think the whole world would be better off sprinkle-dipped. Don’t you?

I’m not sure where I’m going with that but one of my friends once put rainbow sprinkles in her kids’ broccoli to make them eat it. Suffice it to say, it didn’t work. It will with this recipe, though! This is simple and festive. A sweet and inspiring way to ring in a new year. I love how simple it is and how it will delight guests of all ages. My kids? Obsessed. Me? Obsessed too.

This year, we’re doing what we normally do, but with a slight hitch. We always have our dear friends over from Chicago and then invite various other friends from New England to join in. At a minimum, we have eight party guests, but it’s never been that low. Usually we’re at a solid 15 or so. Our guests are actually coming tonight to stay for five nights. Last night was my last night brushing my teeth in the kids’ bathroom and then going to bed on the crappy futon in the guest room. Not longer than 15 minutes after I got up, Cassidy took that futon to the dump with ceremony! Tonight, we will use our brand new bathroom and sleep in our brand new bedroom, overlooking the chicken coop. Magic! It’s not done, but it’s close enough.

Stay tuned, because either tomorrow or Saturday will be my annual end of year recap/linkup awesome post that I do every year. I can’t wait to reflect on all the things crazy and sane from the last year. There are so many thoughts and stories and photos that get pushed down and back, but they’ll find their way up and out. I just know it. Wishing you all the best!
What are you doing for New Year’s Eve?
